Are you using Kitchen Papers?

Handy and stylish, kitchen papers by Cake, vintage table & home, are a great way to set up a nice place setting for an informal dinner or setting up displays for a party. I have purchased the kitchen papers before but fell in love when I spotted these out of the corner of my eye at Gentry’s on Magazine Street. I purchased the Coral Reef Placemat Pad as I adore the vintage yet realistic look of the papers.

Each pad contains 50 sheets. The Coral Reef set contains two different styles, so you get 25 of each coral design.

Recently, I set up two place settings for J & I on the dining room table using my dishes and and silverware.

My place setting includes the vintage silverware I inherited from my Carrier grandparents. Look for the engraved “C” on the handles. I’ll feature his cherished “gift” in a future blog. I love the alligator place card holder too!

J’s place setting includes fleur de lis silverware purchased from Providence Antiques in Atlanta. Numerous sets were given to us as gifts. Do you like the crab place card holder?

I also use the kitchen papers to line my cake dome where I always keep cookies and mini cupcakes. I traced and cut the coral placemat to fit the cake plate. And after you are done, throw away!

  6. Ron, I saw these in a great shop in old downtown, McKinney, Texas, a few weeks ago. Looking at your setting, I wish I had bought them!! I may have to go back and get them.
