12 Days of Christmas in the South

For those of you who follow and read my blog, you are well aware that I totally adore everything about the South. From our way of life, to traditions, and the ways we dress, I am a complete Southern boy.

J & I visited my dad and stepmom’s home yesterday with my sister, BIL, and nephews. Dad lives along Bayou Lafourche, and the boys love to hang out on the dock and feed the ducks. The weather is finally very cold, so we did not see many ducks to feed. But, we did enjoy the dock.

Speaking of the Southern way of life, I am also a lover of a cocktail or two and am always searching for the perfect cocktail napkins. I found these great ones at Art Alley in the Pass {Pass Christian, MS}. A cocktail is never complete without a cocktail napkin- paper or linen.

  3. Good Morning, Ron! I love this post and as a good Texas girl, I too love a good cocktail! These napkins are so cute! I actually was raised in Minnesota but moved to Texas 14 years ago. Two years ago my hubs, Jason, took me to Kiawah Island and Charleston for Christmas. We stayed for 3 nights at the Sanctuary and 3 nights at the Wentworth Mansion. The deep south is now in my veins! -HA! My husband lived 15 years in Augusta, GA so we've decided that when we retire, we will relocate to either the Charleston area or possibly Savannah. NOLA is still on my bucket list of places to visit though! I wasn't born a southern belle but deep down I sure feel like one! Have a wonderful day! Hugs, Meghan

  4. Those are the cutest napkins! I found a coffee cup that says "Merry Christmas Ya'll" and of course I had to buy it! I think of you when ever I drink my coffee out of it! Hugs, Linda

  5. Ron...what a fab blog you have! I must return after I've healed up from my surgery! Thank you for your kind words and coming by for a visit.

I smiled when I read about your love of all things Southern. We made homemade Chicken and Dumplings for Christmas this year and they were MORE than a hit. New tradition!
