Mardi Gras Arrangements by the Acorn

As you can tell by now in this blog, I love to decorate seasonally, and I love to create arrangements for each season.

Mardi Gras is no exception!

I created two arrangements a couple years ago that I still display prominently for the season today.

The larger arrangement is at the top of the stairs. Its base is a wooden trumpet, and it is filled with purple, green, and gold plumes, orbs, shredded garland, glittered sticks, and a spirited jester. Beads dangle from the arrangement.

The smaller arrangement’s base is also a trumpet (but smaller), and it is filled with some of the same metallic, sparkly goodness as well as plumes.

You can see more of my custom work at The Acorn at Wisteria Hill.

The first parades of the season began last night. Yep. Laissez les bon temps rouler! By the way, I am taking it LOW KEY this weekend for sure. No houseguests this weekend and no major celebrations are in order. I know my friends understand I need the rest.

Mardi Gras arrangements, y’all!

  9. Awesome arrangements, Ron! They're both wonderful, but the one with the jester is my fave! Just wondering...when you store them, do you take them apart, or put them in a box with tissue, or what?
