Point Clear/Fairhope {Fun Finds}

Well? Did you guess on what items I brought home with me from our recent AL jaunt? No! No! I did not bring home the two oyster lamps seen here.

These lamps were priced at over $800.00 EACH! Wow!

Instead, I brought back to New Orleans several more affordable ones.

I could not get enough of the spring green hydrangeas from Aubergine. Tied in bunches of three blooms each, I purchased two.

I added them to one of my larger confit pots on the stair parlor center table. They look so fresh and springy.

Of course, I could not pass up the oyster shell frame from Old Bay Mercantile. I adore picture frames, and this 4 x 6 one was perfect.

I placed the frame on my secretary desk and added a recent beach pic of J and I.

And if you have been following this blog for a while, you are all quite aware that I love the coast and candles. I could not pass up the Lafco candle in the Sea and Dune Beach House scent. Lafco House and Home candles are housed in gorgeous art glass vessels. I purchased one at Boxwood Home and Garden.

Beach House: Like a walk on the beach on a cloudy morning, the scent of the sea mixed with Blue Lotus, Cyclamen and wild grasses envelope you, suggesting time for peace and contemplation.

My new candle which smells divine sits atop the entry chest in the parlor.

  1. Isn't shopping more fun when it's out of town? Something new and unexpected is sure to find it's way home with you. Love your new finds. I love hydrangeas and yours are perfect in the center of your table. I also love good smelling candles. I bet they will remind you of your trip while they're burning.
