The Winner takes it all…

I am so happy to report that our team from St. Paul’s Episcopal left our Regional Science Olympiad tournament with first place overall in the middle school division yesterday. Cheer!

It is always great to be back on campus at my alma mater especially when it does not involve my studying and going to class. I am happy that chapter is done.

I am so proud of our students for their hard work and dedication. I am also so elated by the dedication of our parents and coaches of the various events.

We shined and for that I am delighted.

J thought it would be cute for me to take a pic with the trophy and plaque. Can I get a “geek”?

Me

He also found this shot of me from 4th grade at St. Genevieve of the school’s annual science fair. I did my project on Bees. I guess I was interested in bees at the time. Now, I prefer the Napoleonic Bee. The picture was from Mrs. Hanley's class, and I remember researching in the library run by Mrs. Hardberger. It looks like I received an “honorable mention”. I am certain I was devastated. I am not certain as to what my sister was doing in the picture or why my mom would dress her like that. I also guess that I was being silly with those strange eyes.

This proves that I was always a science “nerd”.

Now, it is on to state competition at the end of April. It is another Saturday given up for the love of teaching. Smirk!

Congrats St. Paul’s Science Olympiad team, y’all!
