Ma Maison…The Parlor {Summer 2013}

I love a before and after. I first posted photos of the parlor in the Spring of 2012, so I thought it would be interesting to see the changes made in just over a year.

Isn’t funny that things are always changing around here?

Do “things” change around your home?

It’s been a while, but I am linking to:

  1. I love changing things- I think it's my middle name! It was nice to view your changes- I think you do a great job with your decorating. I love the area where your round table with the books is. I don't remember seeing it before. The picture on the wall with the plates above it looks interesting! Your parlor is decorated so nicely, and the scale of the pieces work perfectly in there. I just noticed your front door is big! Your chandi is fun! Did you add the fireplace surround? I like the double tier affect it has.

    1. Check the earlier post on the stair parlor. The picture is an Audubon topped with small abalone mirrors. The mantle surround is original to the 1920s home. Thanks for stopping by & commenting.

  2. I envy being close to the beach! Of course, I can go to beautiful areas on Lake Erie that have lovely beaches. Do I? Rarely. When it hits 85 around here we complain its too hot haha. It's fun to see someone that really enjoys their summer!!! Go play.

    1. We're opposite. When it drops to 50 degrees, we break out the winter coats and scarves. It's all relative! Lol

  6. I have commented before how much I adore your home. While all of your changes are wonderful, my very favorite is the mirrored chest in the entry way. Happy Summer Break to you!!!!!!
