Caladiums in the Courtyard

Earlier in the week, I shared with you the summery white queen caladiums in the front yard.

Today, I’d like to share the white caladiums in the courtyard garden. I plant white caladiums in the courtyard due to the fact that this area receives little sunlight. Plus, the white mixed with all of the greenery makes a great show both day and night.

The variety that works well for me is White Christmas.

White Christmas is a very distinctive white and green caladium - the leaves are white with dark green mid-veins. White Christmas will brighten your garden with a display that will remind you of that Christmas day snow (well, not here).

White Christmas caladiums…

  • Favors shade to partial shade
  • White with detailed dark green mid-veins
  • Can grow to 18" to 24" tall
  • Fancy white caladium variety

I love to mix the bulbs with cast iron plants, ferns, and elephant ears. The plants grow so well in the two large farm troughs.
