The Beach for the 4th.

What started out as a beautiful weather week ended with a monsoon! We celebrated the 4th with family & friends in one of our fave places, Grand Isle.

We started out the celebration at the newly opened Hurricane Hole, a great dining establishment on the island. We were impressed with the food and drink. The service will get better as “kinks” always need to be worked out with new dining places. Grand Isle needed a place like this.

After dinner, we enjoyed cocktails with great friends The Escher’s at their camp, The Escheruary (estuary----great name!). Cheers!

July 4th started off nice as a picture perfect day before the coastal rain started mid-afternoon.

We decided that cocktails would fill our boredom. A visit by BFF Margo is always fun.

Our nights were always completed at Camp Crisco. Food, fun, cocktails, and lots of laughs greatly enhanced our 4th of July beach vacay.

See you again next week Grand Isle. I hope there is more sun than clouds this time around.

Grand Isle for the 4th, y’all!

  1. Looks like you had a great 4th holiday in spite of the rain! Hopefully, the rain will go away before the upcoming weekend -we have a wedding in NOLA. Have a great day! <3

  2. Every time I see pics of you, you are just living it up! I'm jealous!! You live in such a fun resort style area that there never seems to be a shortage of fun things to do. Glad that the rain didn't completely ruin your holiday. Looks like you had fun in spite of it. It's hard to not have fun at the beach no matter the weather. We are going down to FL in a couple of weeks for our summer family vacation. Can't wait!

  3. I'm so glad you had a nice 4th, Ron. I am sorry it rained but we have had our share of it, too. It can stop anytime now- xo Diana

We've had so much rain the last two weeks, and our 4th was rained out. Ugh.
