A Holiday Weekend

The weekends that lead up to Christmas are always so jam packed full of parties, shopping, dinners, and friends. This past weekend was certainly a busy one.

From a party at Galatoire’s on Friday night, to the Garden District Home tour, to Commander’s, to some parlor patter, to dinner at Clancy’s, and shopping on Magazine Street, the weekend was a full but fun one.

The Garden District Home Tour is always an event that J & I look forward to each holiday season. I have to say that all 7 homes were beautiful. Photos are not allowed inside the homes, but I did snap a few outside. Thanks to Nancy of the blog The Headmistress for allowing me use of some of her photos.

On Saturday night, friends from Thibodaux arrived at our place for some parlor patter.

Dinner at one of our faves, Clancy’s, completed our Saturday. If you have not dined at Clancy’s, it is a must-do.

Yesterday, we shopped along Magazine Street attempting to finish our Christmas shopping. Are you finished your shopping yet?

Holiday Weekend, y’all!

  1. Looks like a fun weekend! I've never been to Clancy's, but it is on my ever growing restaurant board on Pinterest! Have you and J been to Baie Rouge yet? I was looking at their website yesterday. The menu looks good. Have a great day! xoxo

  2. What a fantastic weekend! Will be driving through LA tomorrow. Bringing baby girl home for the holidays. I will need one of those fancy cocktails after 12 hours!

  4. Wow! That sounds like such a fun weekend. I love going on house tours. I haven't been on one in a long time though. Those houses were gorgeous. I think New Orleans has the prettiest houses! I have never been there. Maybe one day I will get a chance to visit.
