Cheers to a Bloody Mary!

I love a good Bloody Mary to start the mornings on the weekend, at brunch, or on vacation.

A co-worker of mine, Andrew, gifted me with this original art work of a Bloody Mary and all its fixins. I pick him up for work daily, so the gift was the perfect thank you. Andrew teaches Pre K, and I love his wrapping skills too.

I could not wait to get it hung near the bar area of the kitchen.

How do you like your Bloody Mary?

My fave mix is by Zing Zang. I usually add some Worcestershire sauce as well as spicy beans and olives.

  • 1 1/2 ounces vodka
  • 1/2 ounce lemon juice
  • 1 dash of Worcestershire sauce
  • Celery salt
  • Ground pepper
  • Hot pepper sauce to taste
  • Horseradish to taste (optional)
  • Celery stalk and/or pickle spear for garnish
  • Lemon and/or lime wedge for garnish
Preparation:
  1. Build the liquid ingredients in a highball glass over ice cubes.
  2. Stir well.
  3. Add the seasonings to taste.
  4. Garnish with a lemon or lime and celery or pickle.

  2. Love the artwork of the Bloody Mary--it is perfect by your bar and you. Steve is a Bloody Mary fanatic--it doesn''t matter what time of the day. I guess it's because he likes tomato juice. I only drink them in the morning. Zing Zang is a must for a great Bloody Mary, and he adds pickled okra, asparagus, beans, olives, and lemon juice and some other stuff. He makes a good one! Have a great day! xoxo

  3. My husband loves those - the spicier the better! I am more of a mimosa girl myself...I will keep this recipe for him though!

  8. Love the artwork and a good Bloody Mary! Zing Zang is my favorite, too. I add horseradish, Worcestershire, olives and a little olive juice, and my very favorite addition - pickled okra.....I may just have to go make one now ;). Happy New Year!
