The Weekend that Was {April 26-27}

Yes! It was a great weekend as I spent it on the coast. After a half-day of school on Friday, J & I departed for my sister’s beach home in Grand Isle. What a great weekend it was!

On Friday night, J & I dined at Grand Isle’s newest restaurants, Hurricane Hole.

We shared a couple appetizers--- shrimp beignets and blackened shrimp guacamole.

We each devoured the delicious fried oyster spinach salad.

After dinner, we headed back to Camp Crisco to watch the sunset which is amazing over the Bay. A couple cocktails later and my night was complete.

On Saturday, we took a long walk in the development, Amaris Isle and headed by golf cart to the beach.

We were so happy that my cousin, her family, and best friends were there too. We shared a great day on the beach. My tan is ON!

After our day at the beach, we picked up diner at the marina and again watched the amazing sunset.

This morning, J & I shared coffee tawk, and I hung up some art work in the boys’ bunk room. Check out the Atlantic sailfish that my 10 year old nephew caught on a Fall trip to Islamorada, FL.

Those nephews sure have a charmed life.

Last evening, we returned home, and J prepared shrimp scampi. Delicious!

And we watered the garden. Check out J’s veggies and herbs. They are thriving… big time!

The weekend concluded with my fave show, Bravos’ RHOA Reunion! I know! I know! I shouldn’t! But I love it so much!

Reality hits again tomorrow morning, but I can just taste summer. Zzzzzzzz!

What a great weekend, y’all!

  3. Hi Ron! What a weekend you had. I do believe that little LuLu is a star in the making! :) How nice to get to stay in your sister's lovely place. Love your family snap on the beach. I live 2 blocks from the beach and I'm as white as buttermilk - what does that tell you? :) Now, I will take a handsome blue eyed guy as a new Bathroom Diva any day...hint hint!
    Be a sweetie,

  12. Growing up, I used to love half-days. Too bad the schools in NoVa don't have them:( Anyway...it looks like you had the most prefect weekend. Being with those you love at the beach is simply a little slice of heaven!
