Puttin’ It Out There

There are folks who believe that if you say things or dream things aloud, your “wish” will happen. You know “putting it out there” in the Universe. Well, last week, I became a believer too!

In my post on Abode, I mentioned that my very fave things in the shop were the two original oyster shell oils. I loved them and wanted them. They are two of the finest I have seen in a long time. I love the vintage character of each.

I was stunned when I received a private facebook message from Abode’s proprietor stating “It's {the blog post} awesome!!!! Omg love love love !!!! You are the best!!!! So great!! Goodness don't know what to say!! Oyster paintings....They are yours!!! Done !! Thanks for the free PR!!! Xo!!!!”

You probably heard me scream.

I picked up two 8x10” canvas frames, but now I have the hard part of deciding where they should be hung. Decisions, Decisions! Stay tuned!

May the fourth be with you!

Put It Out There, y’all!

  1. OMG, Ron! They are even more beautiful in the frames! I love them! We had such a good time on our shopping trip to NOLA yesterday. At Abode, Natalie bought (well, I bought them!) two preserved boxwood orbs to put in two white crown containers that she bought on a previous shopping trip to Magazine St. We went to all the places you suggested except The Garden Gates, and she "scored" something at each place. She said when we were leaving that you sure know the shops to go to! Have a great day! xoxo

  2. I am beyond excited for you! Those are some gorgeous paintings and perfect for Uptown Acorn! Can't wait to see where they land! Abode is the best!!

  3. I wondered what that sound was! Congrats

  4. I heard your scream all the way in California! ;-)

  5. So I guess arm wrestling for them is now off the table?
I'm so glad that they are going to such a stunning home where they will be treasured.
As far as where to hang them... go with your first instinct and I quote " These would look spectacular in my parlor."
    All the best,

  13. Oh that's wonderful- lucky guy! I know you'll find a perfect spot for them! I spent some time yesterday going through my copy of the House Proud book yesterday- it's an enjoyable book! :-)

  14. I really wondered what that noise was! They say that sounds travel really fast from NO to Texas. :) These are just stunning! I know you're going to treasure them forever. IF you ever tire of them, send them West, young man!
