The Memorial Weekend That Was {May 23-26}

J & I ventured a couple hours south to the coast, Grand Isle, for the Memorial Day weekend.

We started with cocktails and dinner at Hurricane Hole, my fave restaurant on the island.

Drinks continued at Camp Crisco well into the morning.

On Saturday and Sunday, the beach called our name all day long. It is always great to catch up with good friends. The weather was absolutely perfect.

Sunsets on Grand Isle are stunning!

How do you like my newest seersucker monogrammed koozies from Monogran Express in Metairie?

Coffee tawk to cocktails, it was another great Memorial Day weekend in one of my favorite places.

  1. Good morning, Ron! I'm glad you had a great weekend in GI and that the weather was perfect. I know how much you love the beach. Have a great day! xoxo

  2. What a fun time. Great friends, great cocktails and lovely sunsets! I love having my toes in the sand! Cute new koozies, but he uptown acorn one's are pretty snazzy also.
    hugs, Linda

  3. That martini glass looks like it has my blog's crab logo on it. Next time you go back, slip in in your jacket for me!

  4. Looks like a wonderful weekend Ron! We spent ours at the beach too!
    Cheers! - Shelley

  5. Looks like you had a great time! I didn't go to the beach. I spent the weekend painting my bathroom. It was fun though.

  6. Great photos! Looks like ya'll had a ball!

  10. What an awesome weekend you had, Ron.

  11. What a great weekend. I love your seersucker koozies. I also like the lady's navy and white crab beach cover up! A shop a few streets over has it in their window and I have had my eye on it. I better go get it!!

  12. I love to see you having fun with your friends, Ron. That is one of the best parts of life, isn't it? What a great place to spend some time. I have been lots of places in the South but never have been to Grand Isle. Looks like I missed a special place. xo Diana

  13. I really, really want to run away right now! This looks like a great place to do just that. So happy you had a great time...always love seeing the photos.
