Hail to Vail!

We departed beautiful Montrose and drove a couple hours to Vail. The drive from Montrose to Vail is absolutely one of the most beautiful I've ever experienced.

Once in Vail, we trekked through the shops in Vail Village. I can't tell you enough how beautiful Colorado is in the summer. I know that most think of Colorado as a winter ski destination, but it is gorgeous in the heat of summer.

We dined along the creek at Up the Creek where we had the most delicious lobster BLT and truffle fries. Yum! Yum! Yum!

After spending the afternoon in and out of the charming shops, we drove another couple hours to the Denver airport where we boarded a flight for New Orleans. And with that, our tour of the Southwest was over.

  1. Good morning,Ron, on this rainy Friday! I've only been to Vail in the winter time, and it is truly beautiful. But, your pictures make me want to go back in the summer--beautiful scenery, and I love the quaintness and charm of Vail. That lobster BLT looks amazing--don't you just love truffle fries? Thank you for sharing your whirlwind vacation through your blog. As a faithful reader, it gets my day started as I drink my coffee and "experience" your adventures. Have a great day! Stay dry! xoxo
