The Weekend That Was {October 31-November 2}

On Friday, the teachers dressed as hippies and danced to The Age of Aquarius. The students always love to see what the teachers have in store. Making “fools” of ourselves in front of students is always fun for all.

After work, my “cousin” Monique and I met J in the French Quarter for drinks, dinner, and lots of people watching.

We had cocktails at the Rib Room.

We ended the night listening to Lena Prima at The Carousel Bar at Hotel Monteleone.

How did you celebrate your Halloween?

The weather here is fantastic. Fall is here, and I wonder how long it will stay?

Halloween weekend, y’all!

  1. I wish I had teachers as cool as you!
    We tried to get into the Carousel Lounge on Saturday, and there wasn't a seat left in the place! You know how to work that town!

  4. Ron, the hippie theme was a great idea. I know the kids have fun seeing their teachers entertain them. Toward the end of my years in the classroom, the school district banned Halloween costumes at school. Made me sad to see the tradition come to an end. Glad to see that the tradition is alive and well in New Orleans.

  8. hahhaa...how fun this is. Ya'll looked so cute. I can't even imagine the old, stuff-shirts we had for teachers ever doing anything fun. 'Course, that was a hundred years ago and back then, teachers weren't SUPPOSED to have fun. :)
