Tis the Season… Nightfall Facade {Christmas 2014}

I love Christmas lights! I always feel that the house looks its best at nightfall.

This year the facade is bedecked in greenery-wreaths, garlands, swags, and hanging orbs. White lights, a mixture of white C9s and small clear bulbs, cast a beautiful glow welcoming guests and passers-by.

The doors feature a live mixed green wreath topped with a tartan plaid bow. Life-like garlands purchased in 2004 from Atlanta’s FloraDora surround the doorways. Though expensive, they are some of the best garlands I have seen. We have certainly gotten our money’s worth out of them.

2 live greenery orbs with battery-powered candles add a seasonal glow to each entrance.

I love the streetcar wreath on the front wall, and swags hang from the window and each post.

The front garden also is filled with small clear lights.

On the upper balcony, more wreaths and garlands add a classic flair and more swags with red bows lined in metallic gold hold court in each window.

I adore the look of this year’s display.

  1. Good morning, Ron! Raising my cup of coffee to you this morning on a job well done on this year's facade, all bedecked in its splendor, the facade is festive, classy, and oh so, Christmasy! Maybe spending next Friday in the city, so if you and and J are around, maybe we can drop in for a drink and see everything in person. Have a great day! xoxo
