Shopping Magazine Street {AKA Stella Gray}

Yes! I have featured AKA Stella Gray before in 2012 when it first opened on Magazine Street across from Theo’s Pizza. Since that post, the folks at AKA have moved twice along Magazine Street, and most recently moved in a great space within easy walking distance from my home.

The recently renovated space at 4422 Magazine Street features owner Diana Knost’s Bohemian Luxury style. It is a mixed style of collections of various curiosities, antiques, vintage items, and handcrafted jewelry. Upon entering the charming space, I was most impressed with the well-styled vignettes throughout the “rooms” of the shop. Tables, armoires, cabinets, and shelves are all filled to the brim with swoon-worthy items.

I love to use natural elements in my decorating, and AKA Stella Gray is the place for these. Feathers, turtle shells, skulls, nests, taxidermy, fossils, eggs, seashells, urchins, and much more fill each nook and cranny of this well-appointed shop. There is also an ample selection of minerals and geodes to add to your decor.

I mean really…how cute is this nest vignette?

Low Country Luxe candles and diffusers are offered along with my favorite coffee table book, House Proud {Chapter 7, y’all!}. Lighting in the form of exquisite chandeliers and lamps would do any home proud. Original art by Louis St. Lewis and Nancy Rhodes Harper line the walls of AKA Stella Gray.

I adore Diana, the owner, and her team of Ben and Aaron. Each is so very helpful when it comes to advice.
Let me show you some of the wonderful things at AKA Stella Gray.

  1. Love that green demijohn, and the curiosity box with the nest ... that's fantastic, too! I wish I had somewhere this fabulous within walking distance from my house - I'd be there daily (and broke)! xx, b @ being-blanca.com
