And the Decorations are Down...

Or should I say UP on the 3rd floor??? J & I worked on putting away Christmas on Saturday for 10:00 AM-4:30 PM, and it feels so nice to have them packed away. The house is cleaned, and it feels so good.

What did I do when I finished? I sipped a cocktail, of course. Cheers to the New Year!

But as with all things here in NOLA, January 6th will see the addition of our plethora of Mardi Gras decorations. Are you ready for purle, green, and gold overload? Stay tuned....

A Clean Slate, y'all!

  1. Hi Ron,
It is a good feeling to get it all down and put away and start the new year out fresh. Here's to a great 2016. Hope getting back to teaching this week goes smoothly.

  2. Ahhh...so nice to have it all put away. I took all of mine down (except for maybe a few stragglers), and now I still need to haul those bins down to the basement! Best wishes to you in the new year!

  3. I know the feeling. Our house feels bare. Your home is lovely. I never noticed that crown chandy before. It does feel good to put away the Christmas decor. I am ready for purple, green and gold. Bring it on! Just let me know when you are ready for a re-design and your ideas. xo

  5. Whew! I bet you were tired after taking down all of your Christmas decorations. I hate that chore! It's much more fun putting them up. I took my inside decorations down one day and then the outside decorations another day. I had to split it up. But I agree it does feel good to have the house back to normal again. Hope you have a nice week back to school. Our kids go back tomorrow.

  6. Ron, your house looks amazing. I bet you got your 10,000 steps + in with running up and down the staircase with the decorations, didn't you? It feels good to have a clean slate again, but yours won't be for long. Bring on the Mardi Gras!
Cheers to a good week ahead.
