Strolling Along Magazine Street {Ashley Longshore Studio Gallery}

One of J & my favorite activities to do on a gorgeous Saturday is to stroll down Magazine Street. After a lunch at the bar at La Petite Grocery, we headed back home but stopped into an art showplace.

A gallery, a breath of fresh air has moved into the neighborhood. Located at 4537 Magazine Street, Ashley Longshore Studio Gallery is a pop of welcome color. Once Accessories in Brass, Ashley Longshore has transformed this space into her signature look with magnificent pops of color, glitter, and sequin.

If you are easily offended, this post may not be for you. I wonder what Ashley would say?

In Ashley's own words, "My paintings are representative of the world I see around me. I am inspired by pop culture and things that I find intriguing.I really like to combine the use of words and images in an unexpected way to create a smart, colorful bold statement.Most importantly my love of color is what really makes my artwork “pop”. My paintings are statement pieces that are a reflection of the experiences I have in my life."

I have followed Ashley on instagram for a while after my dear neighbors purchased an Audrey Hepburn piece for their new baby's nursery, and she is hilarious. Her no-nonsense approach to life is what first attracted me to her. Political correctness is not her thing, and I adore that. We need more Ashley's in our world.

Now which art piece of hers will be mine. I must admit that I do LOVE her Bottle Fed series.

You must stop by this gallery if on Magazine Street. It is fun and a breath of fresh air.

I love this tray.....
