Flowers on the Wall

I adore the large colorful flowers used by float designers on floats during the Mardi Gras season. For those of you who follow this blog, you already know that I have been obsessed with the flower creations by New Orleans artist, Brian Bush of Carnival Sculpture-Paper Mache' Art.

On a whim a couple weeks ago, I decided on a new spot for these prominent "blooms." I cleared off the top of the cabinets and arranged the flowers here and there across the wall. I think they look great and add a good pop of color to the all white (and black) space.

When the blooms were on the post that separates the den from the kitchen, they were easily bumped in to. The move "saves" the "blooms" from accidents.

Beautiful Blooms, y'all!

  1. Wow Ron that's a great display! I didn't realize you had that large of a collection. They'll definitely be safer up there. You did a great job with your layout of them.

  2. Good morning, Ron! I always loved those paper mache' flowers that you had on the chalk board posts. They really "pop" against the white wall above the cabinets in the kitchen! Looks great! Have a great day! xoxo

  4. Your blooms were made for that spot! Have we seen your kitchen before? It seems such a contrast in style from the rest of your home. Would love to see more!
