Late Summer Stair Parlor

The area at the base of the stairs in my Greek Neoclassical home is the Stair Parlor.

My favorite clock table features a seasonal arrangement. During this late summer season, the large trophy cup is filled with hydrangeas, magnolia leaves, and palm fronds. Stacks of books and beach accessories complete the table vignette.

A large framed blue heron Audubon print topped by abalone shell mirrors are featured on the tight hand wall.

Seed pods in gold leaf top the vestibule pathway to the rear of the house.

Artwork by local artist Rayne Housey and an antique chair complete the stair parlor.

Stair Parlor, y'all!
