Parlor Mantle {Summer}

It's not the official start of summer, but it is the start of my summer. Happy June!

I recently rearranged and added accessories to the mantle inspired by summer.

First things first, a Sea & Dune Beach House candle by Lafco contributes an awesome summery scent to the parlor.

The pewter and shell accessories - squid, nautilus, and crab - were picked up on my trips to Seattle from the Timothy De Clue Collection. I adore them and make such a statement.

The oyster plate is by Alison Evans through Hazelnut on Magazine Street.

I also kept the vintage trophy cups filled with seasonal blue hydrangeas and salal leaves.

Have I stated how much I love summer?

The Summer Mantle, y'all!

  2. I have love, love, LOVED your style ever since your Atlanta porch popped up when I Pinterest searched "green house, black shutters" back in 2011. My husband is from NO, and my mom was born there, so I have a sort of attachment to the Crescent City, and I'm in love with the way you capture the style so perfectly. Every time a new season rolls around, I always wonder the same things: How will Ron decorate the mantle and parlor, and WHERE IN THE WORLD does he store all of the off season or rotated gorgeousness?

  4. Your shell sea creatures are amazing, where did you get them. We have a nautical family room, and they would so upscale the look. Currently the favorite is a big rubber lobster(quite realistic) that the Grand leaves in 'scary' places. You never know when you are going to sit on it. Grins...lovely mantle, Sandi
