Honey is 80!

 Last night, family and friends gathered to celebrate a very special milestone—our beloved matriarch, Honey, who recently turned 80 years young. 

We came together at Politz’s, a longtime favorite in our hometown of Thibodaux, Louisiana, and the setting couldn’t have been more perfect. The evening was filled with good food, delicious cocktails, and a truly yummy cake worthy of such a milestone. But more than anything, it was the company that made the night unforgettable.

Stories were shared, laughter echoed around the table, and conversations flowed as easily as the drinks. It was one of those nights where time slows down just enough to remind you how special it is to be surrounded by people you love.

Honey’s 80th wasn’t just a birthday—it was a celebration of family, friendship, memories, and a life well lived. The perfect soiree for a woman who means so much to so many.

A Special Happy Birthday Dinner with Sal

 J and I were fortunate to be included as guests to a dinner hosted by best friend Sal. For his birthday last week, Sal hired Custom Dinners by the Furloughed Four to cater his special day.

The team of two Sommeliers and two Chefs, all with 10 years+ of fine dining experience, provide a custom dinner in your own home. They are able to design food and wine pairings to your exact desires. The Furloughed Four will provide a fine dining experience in your own home. They work with their customers to make the perfect multi-course dinner for you and your guests. Also, no dishes to wash afterwards! 

From the moment we entered the soiree, we were handed an Agrumi cocktail and served delicious appetizers.

 This weekend, we celebrated our Honey who turned 76 on Saturday, January 29. We celebrated with family and friends at Politz's Restaurant in my hometown of Thibodaux. Honey had a fantastic celebration.

 Thanks to all of you in blogland for the many thoughful birthday wishes.

After spending a most joyous day at school swamped with birthday greetings, cards, posters, and Reese's, J and I dined on crawfish at our favorite local watering hole, Frankie & Johnny's.

Indeed, turning 53 was made more special by all of you.
