RJ Custom Monogram {Door Hanger}

 If you've followed my blog for a while, you know that I adore a good monogram. Years ago, J and I's custom monogram was created at No. 411 which is now called Courtland & Co. (same owner) in Savannah, GA. I love the classic design of the R & J intertwined together. Since then, I have used the monogram for custom stationery, pillows, serveware, custom stamps, and other appliques. Recently, I had my favorite door hanger artist, Cynthia Kolls create a custom monogrammed door hanger. The monogram is perfect for between seasons. I took down my Mardi Gras wreath this weekend, and quickly added my new monogram creation. Cynthia was able to match the colors of the house, and with the addition of a gingham ribbon the door decor is complete. It will be on my door until it is time for the St. Patrick's Day shamrock.

The Acorn Cottage {Front Porch Sippin'}

There is nothing more Southern than a good ole front porch, and I am loving relaxing and sipping on mine. With the addition of a ceiling fan, the bugs are kept away, and the temperatures are much, much more manageable.

The rockers are from our home on Perrier. The painters touched them up, so they seem new to me.

The addition of the pillows and indoor/outdoor rug both add warmth to the space. The new pillows and rug were ordered from Ballard Designs. I do miss the Ballard Designs Outlet on Defoors in West Midtown Atlanta.

Let's Do {School} Lunch

I have been trying the hardest to prepare myself for the start of a new school year. As usual a new lunch bag is in order.

How's this for a teacher of science?

Can you figure out this year's "theme" in my classroom?

Small things like this make for a fun start.

Monogrammed Cocktail Napkins {Emily McCarthy}

I love entertaining, and I love when I find new monogram styles for cocktail napkins. Emily McCarthy hit it out of the park with this custom oyster monogram.

How perfect is this?

I emailed her office a copy of my custom monogram by Number Four Eleven, and the monogram was added to the oyster motif. The names "Ron & Jeff" further personalized the napkins. I chose a simple combination of navy and white for a nautical yet summery look.

The gold bamboo napkin holder is also from Emily McCarthy

Come on over and enjoy a cocktail with us. Cheers!
