June 2022: Grand Isle Fun

 We celebrated a long weekend in our favorite spot, Grand Isle with family and friends. It was a very hot weekend, but we celebrated on the beach near the water.

Grand Isle for the 4th

We spent the last 4 days on island time, Grand Isle, that is! The weather was perfect with a nice sea breeze, and the water was beautiful (for Grand Isle water).

Any day on the beach is a good one, but those spent with close friends and family are made even more special.

On Monday night, Caroline Robichaux, the daughter of a high school friend and her boyfriend Ben Boone performed for many who were on the beach. 

Caroline is part of Caro and Company, a small acoustic group started in 2016. With Caroline Robichaux on vocals, Quentin Landry on the acoustic guitar, and Tate Aucoin on the box drum, Caro & Company covers a multitude of genres and musical decades. They are awesome and perform at local parties, festivals, and bars. There is nothing better than the beach, a cocktail, and LIVE music. Heaven!

Grand Isle has been a special place for me and my family for 49 years.

I will be sure to enjoy these last few weeks of summer break.

Grand Isle {Memorial Day Weekend}

School is out for summer, and I spent a beautiful, sunny weekend in Grand Isle with J and friends.

As usual, we started off on Friday evening for Happy Hour and dinner at Hurricane Hole. We loved the live music.

Saturday and Sunday were spent enjoying the sand and surf. It is always great to catch up with our best beach buds. 

This end of the year gift from a student was perfect for the beach. "Ding, ding" meant DRINK, PLEASE!

Summer for me has started, and I could not be even more excited. J's excited for summer too!

Having Fun in Perdido Key

We're back and having a blast in Perdido Key, Florida. Each year, we travel to Indigo where the family celebrates summer.

Sun, sand, and cocktails. There is nothing better!

There is also no better sound than this.

The Weekend That Was {Memorial Weekend 2016}

After I finished my last half day of the 2015-2016 school year, J & I headed to our favorite place, Grand Isle.

We once again started off the weekend with Monique and my sister Colette at Hurricane Hole. We then sat on the balcony of Camp Crisco and enjoyed the nice sea breeze.

On Saturday, we headed out to the beach, and we were joined by Margo, a lifelong friend. It was such a fun day.

On Sunday, the weather was again perfect, so we spent all day at the beach. I do mean all day as we finally went in after dark around 8:30 PM.

I may or may have not been overserved when I took this photo.

Grand Isle is a special place for me and my family and friends. I am so happy that J thinks it is so special too.

I am so happy not to have to set the alarm for tomorrow. I am free at last.
