Best of 2025 {Most Viewed Posts}

 Though I didn’t blog as regularly in 2025, I always love taking a moment to look back at the posts that resonated most with you. Revisiting these favorites feels like flipping through a well-loved scrapbook—full of moments you were especially drawn to and stories that sparked connection.

As you might guess, the most-viewed posts of the year centered around the unforgettable snowfall in New Orleans last January. It was truly an extraordinary and exciting time for New Orleanians, and sharing that rare winter magic clearly struck a chord. From there, posts highlighting my love of seasonal decorating and glimpses of my travels rounded out the list—topics that continue to bring me joy and, thankfully, seem to interest you as well.

Below is a look at the most-viewed posts of 2025. As always, thank you for following along, for reading, and for being part of this little corner of my world. I look forward to sharing more with you in 2026 and hope to see even more of you in the year ahead. Cheers!

Back to School Doorhanger

 Though it's my least favorite doorhanger to put out, it's cute nonetheless. The pencil doorhanger attached to the magnolia wreath is a perfect welcome to the start of school. The students arrive tomorrow, so it's officially "back to school."

I hope all teachers and students out there have a great school year!

Late Spring Porch

 I love springtime and the colors it brings to the neighborhood. I adore the doorhanger that I purchased a couple years ago from Southern Antiques in Laurel, MS. Some of my favorites are from this artist.

White hydrangeas arranged in a blue and white chinoserie footbath make for an excellent springtime welcome. Handpainted, original doorhangers are the best!

The colors compliment the colors in the front garden. Green and white are always right!

Happy Jazz Festin'

 Though Jazz Fest is not my jam (too hot/too crowded/long lines/portalets), I do like to show my support, and it gives me yet another excuse to decorate the front door.

Years ago, I had Jazz Fest artist, Nan Parati, design a Jazz Fest-inspired sign with Acorn Cottage. I have used it for years. Embellished with gingham ribbons, the sign is the perfect Jazz Fest welcome. We will certainly be festin' from our front porch!

Tulip & Hydrangea Doorhanger

 It's definitely spring in New Orleans and that means a new doorhanger. Thanks to my contact at Southern Antiques in Laurel, MS and the local Mississippi artist, the newest spring doorhanger is such a warm, welcoming addition and adds the perfect spring touch to the front porch.

It's Beginning to Look A Lot Like Christmas {Santa Doorhanger}

 The week of Thanksgiving is a perfect time to transition from Fall to Christmas decor. I am lovin' my newest Santa doorhanger from my favorite Laurel, Mississippi shop, Southern Antiques. Hand-painted and made of wood, the doorhanger is a vintage welcome for all guests to Acorn Cottage. Topped with a velvet bow, I added the doorhanger to a wreath of pine.

Did you spend last week decorating for Christmas?

Some Bunny Welcome

 I absolutely adore the newest doorhanger that I purchased online this season from TomTom and Company. The "Hello Dolly" doorhanger is the perfect compliment to all the Easter touches this year. With the addition of a pink and white gingham bow, "Hello Dolly" is perfect.

I am so ready for Easter break and some well-earned beach time.

Hippity, hoppity Easter is on its way.

Hello Dolly, y'all!
