Talkin' Turkey

 I love my newest turkey door hanger custom made for Southern Antiques in Laurel, MS. If you have not been to Southern Antiques and are in or near Laurel, you must check out this gem of a shop. The doorhangers are found seasonally and like with any artist I grab them when they are shown on the shop's instagram page. The turkey doorhanger is amazing. I just adore the fall colors of browns, coppers, and turquoise. It makes the perfect November welcome.

Thanksgiving 2022 {Acorn Cottage: Fall Facade}

 I shared my newest door hanger and the November porch, so today, I'll step back and share the facade and the front garden with you. On the windows I added two gold gilded magnolias. I love using these in the Fall. I purchased the wreaths years ago from Green Gates in Fairhope, AL. Pumpkin topiaries are placed here and there along with other stacks of pumpkins and gourds. Now, I just wish the weather would cooperate and start to feel like Fall.

Thanksgiving 2022 {Acorn Cottage: My Fall Front Porch}

 Yesterday, I shared my newest turkey doorhanger with you. Today, I'll share the rest of the front porch.

In the olive jar, I added corn stalks. I love the way the stalks look especially as they continue to dry. I removed the ghost from the front planter but left the array of differnt sized faux pumpkings until Thanksgiving. Other pumpkins and gourds are used as accents for November.

Thanksgiving 2022 {Brown Turkey Doorhanger}

 On November 1, the Halloween decorations came down and were put away. Out came the Thanksgiving-inspired decor. One new item this season is the brown turkey doorhanger I purchased online from TomTom and Company. I love the size of this doorhanger, for it makes a great show on the front door.

It's Fall Y'all! {Happy Thanksgiving}

 I am currently enjoying time off, much needed time away from "the bank."

I will be celebrating the joys of Thanksgiving with family and friends. I hope that you and yours have lots to be thankful for this holiday season.

I also love Fall in New York. Photos taken by @skaufman4050 .

It's Fall Y'all {Thanksgiving: Dining Room Shelves}

 Yesterday, I shared the dining room buffet. Today, I will stay in the dining room and the share the French baker's shelves. Interspersed with blue and white ceramics, I always use my Alison Evans oyster vessels to hold signs of the season such as glittered gourds and glittered pumpkins. I also love the silver pumpkin purchased through Timothy DeClue of Seattle.

Talking Turkey (and corn and pie)

Isn't the job of a teacher to have fun with his/her students? My 7th graders are also so embarrassed but game to sit (stand) for a photo each month donning whatever headpiece is seasonal. The photos are displayed in the windows of the science lab.

Check out these "turkeys", "corn", or "pumpkin pies".
