Eats and Drinks {Seattle}

J & I certainly ate and drank our way through Seattle's restaurants and bars. Many of the recommendations for the places came from J's co-workers, friends, and locals.

Each locale listed below is a place I would honestly recommend if you are planning an excursion to Seattle.

Loulay {Happy Hour}

Posh tri-level fixture known for chef Thierry Rauturaeau’s creative spin on classic French cuisine. The bar is quaint.

Wild Ginger {Dinner}

Located on 3rd Street, Wild Ginger Asian Restaurant, featuring freshly prepared, authentic cuisine that spans the Pacific Rim from China to Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand and Vietnam.

Cafe' Nordstrom {Lunch}

Located on Pine Street, the contemporary food marketplace is perfect for a casual meal, offering wonderful menu selections to satisfy a discerning palate. Beer & wine available.

Oliver's at Mayflower Hotel {Happy Hour}

Oliver’s is the perfect place to unwind and soak up the stunning cityscape. An elegant downtown bar, Oliver’s provides a casual setting for lunch, snacks or your favorite cocktail.

Matt's in the Market {Dinner}

Delicious Pacific Northwest cuisine! Matt's is located on the third floor of the Corner Market Building across from the Pike Place Market clock. The views are breathtaking.

Purple Cafe' and Wine Bar {Nightcap}

Located on 4th Avenue, Purple Café and Wine Bar pairs a global wine selection with a menu that combines classic American styles with seasonal Northwest ingredients. The staff at each of our locations creates their own variations on this theme, from each Wine Director's bottle selections, to every chef's daily specials. So while similar, each Purple offers an experience that is unique.

Singleshot in Capital Hill {Dinner}

What a tucked-away gem on a quaint stretch of Capital Hill. Don't let the name fool you! The opposite of a whiskey bar indeed...

Single Shot is quite possibly is the perfect date spot - airy and gorgeous, cozy not cramped, classy not fussy.
Cocktail list is well-thought out, nicely carried by gin, bourbon and scotch notes. Great spot to unwind over a few drinks while soaking in Single Shot's loveliness.

Collections {Lunch}

Chihuly’s lifelong passion for collecting started on the shores of the Puget Sound where he scoured the beach as a boy looking for bright shards of beach glass. Today, his extensive collections include vintage objects and material culture of all kinds. Some items are selected based on their function, others for shapes and colors. Regardless of the reason, all have a personal connection for Chihuly and are presented perfectly in the Collections Café.
Collections’ décor draws in part from Chihuly’s iconic Boathouse on Seattle’s Lake Union, and the combination of colors and materials motivated Chihuly to share some of the very collections that adorn the walls of his home and studio spaces.
Within this setting, guests will enjoy a dining experience celebrating Northwest faire, presented with a Mediterranean twist. Coupled with a selection of craft beers and a wine list heavily focused on Washington and Oregon wines, the Collections is a true celebration of all the Northwest.
The Collections Café offers an original, fresh and uniquely Northwest dining experience for lunch, dinner or an afternoon bite. Admission to the exhibition is not required for dining at the Collections Café.

Six/Seven {Dinner}

Located inside The Edgewater, the Seattle restaurant, Six Seven, features seasonally inspired cuisine crafted with only the freshest and finest organic and naturally raised ingredients in one of the greatest setting overlooking Everett Bay. The decor is amazing!

Restaurant Marche' on Bainbridge Island {Lunch}

Located on Madrone Lane, Restaurant Marche' is home to delicious French-style fare made with locally sourced meat, fish & produce served in a woodsy-chic. interior.

The Pink Door {Dinner}

Located in Pike Place Market, the subtle pink door leads to a restaurant of lively fun. It is an Italian restaurant with burlesque shows & trapeze entertainment plus terrace with Elliott Bay views. J & I were lucky to sit on the terrace with beutiful views and even better temperatures.

I am certainly glad my Fit Bit has been above average lately.

Seattle certainly has great food in great spaces.
