Friday Flashback {Halloween 1972}

From decorating a scarecrow in my front yard to attending Halloween bazaars, being a 4 year old in 1972 was certainly fun.

I hope you have a Happy Halloween whatever night your parish/county celebrates Halloween.

Share Your Style #37

Hello everyone!

I hope you are having a fine Fall season. It is still warm in New Orleans, but I do wish for cooler days and nights.

Check out this beautiful plantation home I shared with you this week: Ellendale Plantation Home

Welcome to another edition of Share Your Style!

Our host this week is Kelly from The Essence of Home.

Last Friday, I posted about a fabulous sheet set giveaway and I will announce the winner this Friday. So, if you haven't signed up for it, please do so now!  Click HERE to read all about it.

It has been so much fun getting to see all of the Fall decorations and Halloween crafts you've shared lately.  Can you believe that Halloween is in just a few days now?!

Here are just a few features from our party last week that I really liked.

Super Mommy Club shared  a lot of yummy breakfast casserole recipes that you can make ahead of time.  I think these would be great to do for the upcoming holidays.

Just 2 Sisters showed how to make the cutest ghosts out of milk jugs.  It's a fun craft to do with your kids and use for Halloween night!

House Honeys gave us a tour of Vermont in the Fall.  It is absolutely breathtaking and unlike anything I'll ever hope to see here in Georgia!

I hope that you will stop in and visit these blogs.

If you were featured, please feel free to add this button to your blog!

Ok, now are you ready to share your own inspiration with us all?  Remember that when you share your link here it also shows up on 6 other blogs!

Please include a link back to this party on your post.

Where in the World is....?

Yes. I am back to civilization and my own bed. Each year our 7th grade class takes part in a Wilderness Leadership Adventure (Challenge) camping excursion, so last week was the time. Anyone who knows me also knows that I am not quite the happy camper. I hate heat. I hate bugs. I hate dirt. I like Hilton. I like Four Seasons. I like Hyatt. You get it.

We departed for Bogue Chitto State Park (1 1/2 hours north of New Orleans) on Wednesday morning and returned on Friday.

The students participated in team building activities, hiking, and canoeing. They were also allowed free-time to partake in water slides and swimming.

Two nights in a tent without A/C in the woods is about all I can handle. I am happy to report that another year down, and I made it home safely. I cannot tell you how exhausted I was on Friday.

PUNny Skeletons 2016

Those of you who have followed my blog for a while know that I am in love with Halloween. The Halloween season would not be complete without a visit to the St. Charles mansion at State Street. The yard is full of the most darling skeletons around.

This year, there are a few new ones including many related to upcoming state and national elections.

If you are ever in New Orleans during the month of October, you must schedule a visit to this home along the streetcar route. The creativity is astounding.

Which is your favorite???
