A Spooktacular Halloween {PUNny Skeletons}

The 50 or so-member skeletal "family" has been an autumnal sensation at the corner St. Charles Avenue and State Street for years. The plastic bone-people arrayed everywhere on the mansion's front lawn may bring a tingle of happy to kids, but the costumes and captions are also intended to put a wry smile on the faces of adults.

This year's offerings do not disappoint.

I think my favorite this year has to be "Skully", Skully Skullenberger, the heroic pilot who landed his airplane on the Hudson.

Morris Bat, One Fall That's All (Morris Bart)

Ded Ex

Thomas the Sprain

Fruit of the Tomb

C. Moan (Simone Biles)

The Rat Pack

Out on a Limb

Lazy Bones

Murder Ms. Tree

Dare Devil

Grave Predicament

  2. Good evening, Ron! Love this house and all of the puns--so clever! Yesterday, as we were on our way to our condo, we passed by the mansion with the skeletons--there were soooo many people there taking pictures. I told Steve I wanted to go there, but he didn't seemed interested. I wish I would have hopped on the streetcar and gone down there. Maybe, next year! Have a great evening! Cheers! xoxo
