In the name of Science

Why am I up so early on a Saturday???

While you are sleeping in today, I’ll be at my Alma Mater, Nicholls State University, in Thibodaux with 16 of my science students and their anxious parents as the students participate in the Regional Science Olympiad tournament. From building and launching bottle rockets to reaching for the stars (astronomy), the Science Olympiad features competition amongst many local schools in the middle school and high school divisions in 23 science-related events.

NERD! I guess I own that title. Not only am I a science teacher but also advisor to the Science Olympiad team.

Good Luck to our team today! Amen!

With joy, I am happy to report the our team placed 3rd OVERALL at the Regional Science Olympiad tournament and will now compete in the State tournament at Southeastern in Hammond in April.
Geaux Panthers!

Do your best, y’all!

  1. Good luck!! (And, good for you -- your students surely don't realize how lucky they are to have a teacher/sponsor like you!)
