Coastal Art by Larisa Ivanika Clevenger

Discovered by J & I in Jackson Square months ago, Larisa Ivanika Clevenger is one of our favorite local artists. Many of our favorite oils of hers are of coastal scenes, realistic crustaceans, and mollusks.

Originally from Russia, Larisa now resides in New Orleans. You can see her work displayed on the iron fence at Jackson Square or in her very own gallery, Art in Bloom, located at 830 Chartres Street in the French Quarter.

  3. So paradoxical for someone from Russia doing paintings that are so Southern. :) Love her stuff--I knew you and J would have a painting of an oyster! ;)

  5. If I am just nearby, I would grab the crayfish with skillet and oil or beer bottle. Without any second thoughts.
