Decorating with Books

I love to accessorize and personalize any space with books, preferably hardcover decorating books. I am not a big fan of paperbacks.

A stack of books with a great tray, small box, or small curiosity atop is one of my most favorite looks for a coffee table or shelf.

I also like to use stacks of books near sofas, beds, and chairs. They are very easily accessible for all to peruse through the pages. They are also the perfect place to rest a beverage.

The vignettes you create will always be interesting and oh so chic.

Here are more ways I use books around my home to personalize and accessorize spaces:

And au revoir to the old Grand Palace Hotel scheduled for implosion this morning. This old hotel is located just off the historic French Quarter off I-10. What an eyesore for years! Bye Bye and good riddance. On to progress!

  1. Who needs an end table when you can use books?!! Great ideas to use books. I'm going to "steal" some of your ideas!

  2. Love your ideas for decorating with books and Revere style silver bowls. Also, I love seeing what books people read or decorate with. I think you can tell so much about a person by the books they read. :)
    Have a great week,
