NOLA Street Tiles

During a Saturday jaunt to Metairie, J & I stopped in at Le Boulevard Marketplace. Le Boulevard, a shopping experience with over 150 booths and vendors, has just about something for everyone.

I was happy to find these reproduction New Orleans street tile letters made famous on the corners of New Orleans streets from Uptown to the French Quarter to Mid-City.

Of course, I picked up our initials in “R” & “J”. I am not sure of the name of the booth or the designer of these letters, but you can purchase your own from New Orleans Tile Company.

I added my new letters to the secretary. I love the spirit of New Orleans that they give to my parlor.

    1. Hi- several of the images of tiles are made from Derby Pottery and Tile on Magazine St. in NOLA. They are the ones with the yellowish outline and richer blue letter, designed to last 100 yrs outdoors!
Not all street tiles are created equal, so ask the maker if they are meant to be outdoors before purchase. WWW.Derbypottery.com
