I have included Friday in this post as it was part of my Spring Break.

I had a busy weekend.

On Friday, J & I went to lunch with friends at a newish restaurant on Lake Ponchartrain, The Blue Crab. {By the way the picture below is not the entrance. Enter from the side.}

Let me just leave it at this… The food was really good, but the service was horrible. I’d go back, but there are many kinks for the management to “work out”. I hope they can get it together as the setting is terrific.

Check out the pearls found in the “ersters”.

On Saturday, we all at at Wayfare, one of our local faves on Freret Street.

There is nothing more refreshing than a root beer in a bottle.

J & I then visited a great nursery/gift shop on Elysian Fields, American Aquatic Gardens. The nursery is breathtaking, and the selection of waterlillies is outstanding.

When I returned home, I mulched my flower beds with some fresh pine straw.

Yesterday, the family drove in from Thibodaux, and we dined at Rib Room at the Omni Royal in the French Quarter. The food and service were fabulous. I recommend eating here if you have never tried it out.

After lunch, J took the family to check out the renovations at WWL-TV and allowed them to pose in the anchors chairs at the studio. Fun!

Back to eating healthy and working out this week! Have a great day! xoxo P. S, It is almost "countdown" time! ;)

  2. Your white bucks are snazzy! Such a great weekend with family and the food . . . Mmmm. My parents used to take me to Lake Pontchartrain for the little amusement park. Hope the restaurant there gets its act together.
