Lamp Shade Luxe

I have always found that the lamp shades in my den were plain, so I knew I’d hit the jackpot when I found this green velvet ribbon at The White Camellia on Magazine Street. I love the spool.

I simply used hot glue to add the green velvet ribbon to the top and bottom of my three floor lamp shades. I love how the green adds to the greens used so prevalently in the den.

I also received several new gold decals from HKL Designs recently in hopes if using the largest monogram for a lamp shade, but I could not get it to stick and stay. For now, I decided on plan B. I taped the decal on the inside of the shade, and its glow at night is wonderful. I love monograms, and this subtle one looks great. Have I told you how happy I am to find Tricia?

Those lamp shades look like you bought them that way. :) What an ingenious idea about the use of the monogram--you are so "creative." I hope you are getting some rest from your procedure. Have a great day! xoxo
