I love the Thanksgiving break because it gives me the time I need to properly decorate the house. I am a traditionalist, so you’ll only find red, greens, golds, and silvers as decor throughout my home.
This year on the front facade, I changed the ribbon for a tartan plaid that I found while shopping at Boxwoods in Atlanta. I used it for bows on the wreaths and swags. I also used it on the live cedar-covered orbs. I just ordered more ribbon to use in the garlands, and I cannot wait to receive it. I am still mad for plaid.
I added rosemary topiaries to each cast iron urn. The plants that had been in there were looking kind of “aged”.
I purchased two of these iron orbs from The Plant Gallery. I love them. I even hung a bright red ornament in the center for an added POP of color.
Two shiny red spheres were tossed in the sugar kettle to give an extra glow to the front garden.
The center oyster shell wreath is covered in fresh garland, and the streetcar decoration placed on it.
I love Christmas and hope it shows.
I hope you will enjoy my upcoming Christmas posts this year. I will also be participating in a Christmas Open House Blog Hop coming up in just days with other talented bloggers.
