The Weekend That Was {March 7-8}

Whew! This was a busy and exciting weekend.

J & I left for Thibodaux on Friday evening, and on Saturday, my Science Olympiad team participated in the Regionals Tournament at Nicholls State University, my alma mater. It is always exciting to be back.

Our school’s team placed first overall out of 11 other teams in Division B. WE now move on to state competition in April.

We rushed back to NOLA, showered, changed, and made our reservations at Balise, the newest restaurant by Justin Devillier of La Petite Grocery.

The decor and the food were outstanding. It is located in the Central Business District (CBD). Try it soon.

This morning we made our way to the Quarter to meet friends that we have not seen since our Atlanta days, the Davis’ from Fort Valley, GA. We brunched at Mr. B’s Bistro. It was a great time to catch up.

The day was absolutely spectacular in the Quarter.

Happy Birthday to my best little sis, Colette. It’s hard to believe that this little girl is 42.
