Let There Be (more) Light

Recently, I added three large lighted orbs to the trees in the courtyard. I adore the light from globe lights, and these look awesome at night.

The wire orbs were purchased from a local nursery, The Plant Gallery. I purchased the globe light strings online and wrapped them around the wire orbs. Simple brown extension cords connect to the timer that is set in the garden. The light from the orbs along with the regular landscape light add to the cozy feel of the courtyard.

At dusk:

Light It Up, y'all!

  1. I love it!!! I did something like this at Christmas time on our deck. Have similar orbs, but I love the lights. Would you share the source for them? Lovely!

  3. How fun Ron- they look great and I can well imagine how they add to the ambiance of the courtyard. you've inspired an idea for me. I have a pair of orbs that were made to hold plants with a coco liner but this year I didn't have plans for them. They might be cute with some lights in them!
