Uptown Acorn Travels {NYC Eats}

Like New Orleans, NYC is a culinary mecca with restaurants and cafes on every block. It is so hard to narrow down the choices as we get so many recommendations from friends.

Upon checking into the Waldorf Astoria, we dined at Peacock Alley in the hotel. It is a perfect place to lunch and lots of great people watching.

Afternoon cocktails and a bar snack were enjoyable at the Bemelmans Bar at The Carlyle. This is definitely a dark New York- style lounge.

For dinner on Friday evening, we dined again at a favorite of mine, The Polo Bar (and Restaurant). You all know I adore any and all things Ralph Lauren, so it is a treat for me to dine in such classic accommodations filled with rich woods and a variety of plaid fabrics --- #madforplaid . The food and drink are always delicious, and the attention to detail is signature Ralph.

My favorite coffee is also at Ralph's Coffee housed in The Polo Store on 5th Avenue. I love the signature mugs and saucers.

J & I were lucky to stumble upon the perfect lunch spot while out venturing on the Upper East Side, Amaranth.This is a charming New York Upper East Side eatery. I loved how the "regulars" who were obviously "loaded" had their regular tables. We were lucky enough to meet a couple darling NYC couples. Put this on your list if you would like an upscale lunch with lots of attention.

We shopped the afternoon away along Madison Avenue as we made our way to Ralph Lauren's Flagship shops. Shopping at Ralph Lauren Flagship was epic! As we walked through the doors, waiters dressed to the nines carried glasses of champagne. Doesn't champs make any shopping experience better? Ralph Lauren= CLASS! I could just sit down and observe every little detail.

Miracle on Madison was happening, so we stopped to enjoy this:

Before the musical, Kinky Boots, J & I dined at Sardi's in the vicinity of the theatre. In the heart of New York's Theater District, Sardi's has been the toast of Broadway for 90 years. Located at 234 West 44th Street the restaurant is open Tuesday through Sunday for lunch and dinner. Late supper is served from Tuesday through Saturday. The restaurant was packed and the crowd lively. Fun!

I'm totally FULL, but I cannot wait to go back to NYC next year.

NYC Eats, y'all!
