Louisiana Creole Cottage

If I could have any home, I would love a raised Creole Cottage. I came across this beauty from the River Parishes while reading The New Orleans Advocate.

You can read about this beauty and see more pictures HERE.

Creole cottage is a term loosely used to refer to a type of vernacular architecture indigenous to the Gulf Coast of the United States. Within this building type comes a series of variations.

Creole Cottage, y'all!

  3. Good morning, Ron! I, too, love a raised Creole Cottage. I have always loved Quentin's and Marie's cottage on Hwy 308. Have a great day! xoxo
