Walking in Memphis

Last Sunday through Wednesday, I chaperoned the annual 8th grade Civil Rights trip to Memphis. It is a great trip for our 8th graders to bond and learn about the civil rights movement in the south.

Besides the Civil Rights Museum, we toured the Stax Museum, the Memphis Rock n Soul Museum, as well as watching the famous ducks in the lobby of the Peabody Hotel.

We ended our visit with a trip to Central Bar-b-q, a Memphis staple which has been featured on several TV shows and in periodicals. It was delicious.

Walking in Memphis, y'all!
