Katrina {15 Years}

 15 years ago, Hurricane Katrina devastated the Gulf Coast. We remember.

15 years ago, I lived in Atlanta, but many friends who lived here in NOLA were displaced for months or years.

Where were you during Hurricane Katrina?

I am also praying for all individuals who were affected by recent Hurricane Laura.

We Remember, y'all!

  1. Good morning, Ron! Yes, we will never forget Katrina. Thankfully, Thibodaux was spared from its ravages. Actually, Natalie and I were in Berwick at my best friend's house, so we didn't experience any effects of Katrina. Unfortunately, when the levees broke, my sister-in-law and family were not so lucky. They had nine feet of water in their house and had to relocate to Thibodaux for months. St. Genevieve welcomed her two young children into the school. After over a year, they were finally able to move back into their home in Lakeview. That Thanksgiving, we celebrated Thanksgiving at their house to give thanks. I'm still praying for those people who were affected by Hurricane Laura, too. Have a great day! xoxo

  2. I do not think any of us will ever forget Katrina. Let's hope nothing like that ever hits the shores again. Laura was pretty devastating too. Prayers for those that lost their lives. Between the fires out west, the storms in the south and the virus everywhere it is hard to breathe some days. Just trying to stay hopeful we will again feel safe and not so much despair. Have a good week. Hugs. Kris
