SNOLA 01.21.25

 I mean, who would have thought that New Orleans would be blanketed in 8-10" of beautiful, fluffy snowfall? Yesterday, New Orleans received the highest snowfall totals since 1895. Yes, it is a once in a lifetime experience for us.

Classroom Theme {Get On Board}

I still cannot believe that my summer has ended, and I am back at school. The students arive on Wednesday. Every year, I come up with a theme for the classroom, for it helps to keep me organized. The students also love to see what I can come up with from year to year. I guess that you can say my themes have become traditions for our 7th grade classes. This year, I have chosen the iconic New Orleans streetcar and NOLA street tiles. The streetcar has been given a scientific touch as a scientist is driving the students on their nine month journey. The theme is fun and very New Orleans. Here's a closer look at this year's classroom theme:

A Stylish, Non-Touristy Carnival

This article appeared in Forbes, and I thought it was perfect for those traveling to New Orleans at Mardi Gras.

Click HERE for the article, Mardi Gras 2020: A Stylish, Non-Touristy Guide to New Orleans. Thanks to writer Katie Chang for the suggestions.

May I also suggest Upperline Restaurant, Clancy's, Gautreau's for dining, and Hazelnut, Sotre, Rivers Spencer, and Aux Belles Choses for some shopping?

For Sale {4613 St. Charles Avenue}

One of my favorite homes on St. Charles Avenue is for sale. I wish I had an extra $2.3 million to make it mine. Sadly, someone else will have to love this home.

Years ago, I had the opportunity to tan next to this pool. I felt as though I had entered the Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous. The home belonged to a friend of a friend, and I remember stepping inside the walls. I'm certain my eyes were open as big as my head. I often wonder about the lives of the folks that live behind the walls of such majestic homes.

Take a look at these amazing photos. The style of this home is impeccable.
