Uptown Acorn Eats {Theo's Neighborhood Pizza}

It’s been a while, but J and I’s Sunday evening ritual has always included an evening meal at Theo’s Neighborhood Pizza on Magazine Street.  Being so close to home, we grab our to-go cocktails and walk to our favorite neighborhood pizza joint.

Theo’s has the coldest bottled beer in town. It is so refreshing.

We each start off with the Sweet Spinach salad- spinach, purple onions, cranberries & walnuts, tossed with pepper jelly vinaigrette & topped with goat cheese. To say it is delicious is an understatement. You have to try one for yourself. Trust me!

We then share a 10” Big Dave’s Buffalo Chicken Pizza- Frank’s Red Hot Buffalo wing sauce, purple onions, pepper jack cheese, cheddar, mozzarella, banana peppers, & chicken. With a perfect thin and crispy crust, this pizza is hot and spicy perfection.

Sitting in the front window at Theo’s, we noticed an event going on at a new shop, A.K.A, Stella Gray.  This shop is a great new addition to our neighborhood shop of Magazine Street. I will feature the newest addition in a future blog. The event was the third in a series of events entitled, Battle of the Brushes where various artists paint live and patrons bid on the works of art. The artist with the highest bid is deemed the “winner”. It was a fun event with wine and small bites.

I love pizza & beer, y’all!

4218 Magazine or 4024 Canal Blvd.

  2. Theo's is one of our favorites, too. Did you know it was started. Y some transplants from Little Rock?
