My Science Classroom

As many of you know, I teach middle school science at a I.S.A.S. School in New Orleans. I currently teach 6th grade Earth Science, 7th grade Physical Science, and 8th grade Life Science. My teaching career has taken me from the Junior Highs of Thibodaux to my current job in the Lakeview area of New Orleans. I am fortunate to have taught at such great schools.

A number of followers have asked, so today I am sharing my science lab classroom with you. Check it out!

From the lab tables to the expansive cabinets, this classroom has science written all over it.
Take a look at the bulletin board listing all my students.

Check out how I like to use actual photos as a backsplash along the cabinet walls. The students and parents just love this inexpensive accent. Students love to see their pictures and their work.

Poster projects on sea-life by the 6th grade Earth Science students hang from the light fixtures and flood the room with color and creativity. The front of the classroom has a modern SMART board and a good ole dry erase board.

The rear corner of the room houses a place for my desk.

The hallway that leads to the science lab is also filled with student work and photos by grade level. The hallway sets the tone for what to expect in my classroom.
