Eating Uptown {Delachaise}

A favorite go-to of J and I’s is Delachaise, a local NOLA eatery. Great food and a grand selection of cocktails set this restaurant apart. It is the perfect spot for a weekend brunch or lunch.

My meal of choice is always the fried shrimp and green tomato remoulade poboy. Can I just say YUM? The poboy comes with their famous (not sure if they are really famous but they should be) french fries fried in duck fat. OMG! They are “slap your momma” good.

A poboy, fries, and a couple Bloody Marys are a perfect way to spend my morning or early afternoon.

Delachaise is located at 3442 St. Charles Avenue. They are open 7 days a week. You can also sit on their lovely patio overlooking St. Charles St and the passing street cars.

A warm interior, I really love Delachaise on cooler days. I must mention their grilled cheese too. I’ll save that for another post. Oh my!
