Tortoise Shell Glass

Thanks for your compliments of my newest collection of tortoise shell glass in the “sneak peek” post. I purchased my first piece of this glass from Hazelnut on Magazine during my Dixie Belles, Dixie Delights & One Little Bird’s, latest trip here. I used the small bowl as a catch-all on the parlor coffee table.

I am in the process of making some changes in the den lately, so I thought that these would be perfect for the wall in the small space between the sets of sliding glass doors leading to the courtyard.

I rushed to Hazelnut and purchased some of what was in stock.

I hung four of them to the wall. Four! Oh no! Don’t designers use odd numbers? Hmmmm…. I might need one more.

The tortoise shell glass plates are by Vietri {Irresistibly Italian}. Just look at the detail.

The glassware comes in several sizes:

I adore the green and amber colors of the tortoise deign. They look great lining the rear wall.

  3. They are gorgeous! Love the colors! Speaking of buying things in odd numbers...maybe you could buy TWO more...that way you'd have two groups of three each. LOL Just kidding! I always think the same thing when I have an even numbered collection.
