Flowers of Fall {Fall 2013}

For my Open House “Supper Club”, I created three fresh arrangements using the pumpkins from my front porch. The arrangements are used on my main dining table which is used for the food buffet.

To create these seasonal beauts, I simply cut and cleaned three pumpkins of differing sizes.

I filled each pumpkin half-way with water and inserted the flowers that I purchased from my local Whole Foods. I love the prices and quality of the flower offerings from Whole Foods.

For the arrangement, I used Fall-inspired flowers such as hydrangeas, belles of Ireland, heather, safflowers, and eucalyptus.

I think the live arrangements turned out nicely and create an air of elegance to the main food table.

I adore fresh flowers for the season.

  3. Beautiful! I too love Whole Foods flower market. I usually have at least one bouquet of fresh flowers in the house at all times. I used to spend a lot of time arranging flowers (faux and real)...seeing these makes me want to start doing that again.

  6. Since I am in Carmel right now, I haven't been "stalking" FB and keeping up with the Uptown Acorn. Didn't want you to think that I had "ditched" you. I absolutely LOVE those pumpkin arrangements. Thanks for the step-by-step instructions on how to create them. However, I know mine would never be as beautiful as yours. xoxo
