Happy 50th Birthday, Greg! {Las Vegas}

Our trip started with a 6:00 AM flight to Las Vegas to celebrate our BFFs Greg's 50th birthday soirée. I still cannot believe we are celebrating 50. Wow! Greg's birthday was on July 3rd.

J & I and 12 of our best buds stayed at the gorgeous Aria resort. The views we're beautiful, and the amenities even better. Aria is by far one of the nicest places I've stayed in Vegas. There was not that usual "cheese" factor.

Casey, Tom, Jeff, and I began each morning with daily coffee tawk in the VIP lounge. Complimentary drinks and breakfast were served. We love our coffee tawks.

We spent three days in our luxurious cabana where our own server delivered libation after libation and delicious foods. It was a life of luxury that I can get used to. It also helps that our besties are world class gamblers who love to share the lifestyle with us.

We spent a lot of time in the pool due to the fact that temperatures exceeded 100 degrees each day.

For lunch, we dined poolside in our cabana. The food was yummy. I can say that I devoured a perfectly cooked burger each day.
In the evenings, we dined at a couple of Vegas' hotspots: FIX at Bellagio and Sirio at Aria.

I really enjoyed my $25.00 premium margarita at FIX.

We were also fortunate to see one of my all-time favorites, Olivia Newton John at The Flamingo. Yes! She dazzled with her top songs from Xanadu and Grease. She is still gorgeous and sings so well sans autotune. Lol! She is definitely still "hopelessly devoted to you".

We all also had a fun time dancing the night away at a newish club, Liason. Lance Bass of N'Sync fame was also in the crowd.

We had a great time in Vegas celebrating our besties 50th! We LOVE you, Greg!

We also enjoyed our final Vegas nightcap at Lobby Bar. Cheers.

On day four, we boarded a jet plane for Grand Junction, CO. Stay tuned!

  2. Now that's how you celebrate a 50th birthday! It looks like a lot of fun was had by everyone, Ron. I kept my 50th on the quiet side. It looks like a great place to stay, too.

  4. Good morning, Ron! Let me first extend a belated 50th birthday to Greg! I agree with paperjunk that y'all really know how to celebrate a special birthday in style--a cabana with your personal server, but I wouldn't have expected anything different! G's cake is beautiful, and I sure hope that you enjoyed that $25 margarita--I would have sipped it VERY slowly! ;) Have a great day! xoxo

  15. Welcome to Fabulous at 50 Las Vegas! Celebrating with friends in style is the only way to turn 50. I am thrilled to read a glowing review of Olivia Newton John's show at Flamingo. I love seeing a show in the Flamingo showroom- I like a little vintage in my Vegas. Glad you and J had fun in Vegas, and I'm looking forward to "visiting" Colorado with you both. Great trip report!
